| The American Baghdad Bob? |

During the G20 Summit, USA President Barack Hussein Obama bowed to the Saudi king. Since when does an American leader bow to a monarch – any monarch? We do not believe in automatically granting power to someone just because their parents held it, nor do we place our loyalty in them – that's one of the many ways of ensuring the death of liberty and the enslavement of the individual to the government (in this case, to a monarch). We are a constitutional republic and we fought a war to free ourselves from the tyranny the British monarchy imposed on us! Yet, of all the monarchs there could possibly be (Queen of Britain, Queen of the Netherlands, etc), Obama bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia – a nation that is one of the biggest state sponsors of terrorism, one of the biggest abusers of human rights and one of the most repressive nations in the world. Remember when Obama uttered the words "my Muslim faith" during an interview? And we all thought it was a gaffe. Darn, the circumstantial evidence is really piling up now. It gets worse. Several days later, the White House denied that this incident ever occurred. The following is an exchange between White House spokesman Robert Gibbs and a reporter:
Reporter: "Did he bow or didn't he?" Really, Comrade Propaganda Minister Gibbs? Alright, so what happened to no taxation without representation? More on that in a second, but first:
In the above picture, Barack Hussein Obama can be seen bending from his waist until his head is almost at the level of King Abdullah’s waist. This certainly brings back memories of Baghdad Bob (real name Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf – the Information Minister of Iraq under Saddam Hussein), back when he was claiming that American forces were being obliterated by the Iraqis as American tanks drove by only a few hundred feet away. Who ever would have thought that we’d get a propaganda minister of our own? On a more serious note, these obvious denials of the truth generally occur within collectivist regimes. In fact, the very idea of an "Information Minister" or a "Propaganda Minister" brings about chilling reminders of Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, Maoist China, North Korea, Cuba and Saddam’s Iraq, among others. Only in such nations does the government require a whole ministry to lie to the people and fabricate great accomplishments made by the government, while also minimizing (or purposely not mentioning) its failures. Only in such nations is it necessary for the truth to be completely obscured and hidden from the people, for if they should ever know just how horrible their lives under their rulers are, they will revolt immediately. At the same time, this lie is an obvious lie – perhaps the only one that even fanatical Obama supporters cannot deny (though I’m sure they will). In fact, the mainstream media and government lie to us all the time, but we hardly ever notice. Remember Obama’s promise of transparency, his promise to reach across the aisle and work for bipartisanship, his promise to give both houses sufficient time to review legislation and his promise to curb government spending? When the "stimulus packages" started to roll around, he broke every single one of these promises. The 787 billion dollar package – which American taxpayers are expected to pay for – consists of pure pork-barrel spending and does nothing to help the economy (in fact, it only hurts it by increasing our already huge debt by about a trillion dollars, increases the size of government, gives government more control over the economy and makes it harder for private individuals and groups to engage in innovation and create businesses of their own). At over one thousand pages long, Congressmen and Senators were only given between a few hours and a few days to read it before voting on it. The public was ill-informed of the bill, as well, since it had only between a few hours and a few days not only to read it, but to also respond to it. There was no choice when it came to this bill: senators and congressmen had to vote either for it or against it and the proponents of this bill made it clear that in order to "save the economy", action had to be taken immediately. And, to top it off, this bill was followed by a 410 billion dollar spending bill less than a month later! Of course, as Adolf Hitler said:
"In the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods. It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation. For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying." These words are more relevant now than ever before, as the government – without any regard for us, the people – swiftly drags us into socialism and further away from the Constitution. Remember, those who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
