| Since September 2008, there has been a massive expansion of government in the USA, practically unprecedented in history. Not surprisingly, this largely unconstitutional shift has been met with great opposition from the people. Many ordinary people with no prior interest or experience in politics have begun writing articles, starting groups, leading rallies and taking part in other kinds of peaceful protests against these policies. In fact, recently, on Tax Day (April 15), there were major protests – referred to as "Tea Parties" (named after the Boston Tea Party of 1773) – all over the country, with an estimated one million people in attendance.

| About two months ago, on May 5, 2009, radio talk show host Michael Savage's name turned up on a list of "undesirable individuals" – consisting a total of twenty two individuals banned from entering the United Kingdom. Also included on the list are Islamic terrorists, neo-Nazis, murderers, leaders of the extremist Westboro Baptist Church and an extremist Jewish nationalist. The list was compiled by British Home Secretary Jacqui Smith.
In response, Michael Savage has filed a lawsuit against Jacqui Smith. He also appealed to US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to urge the British to take him off that list, but to no avail. However, this controversy gained a decent amoun... read more. |

| In early 2009, Lord Pearson of Rannoch and the Baroness Cox of Queensbury, members of the House of Lords, invited Dutch politician Geert Wilders to a 12 February, 2009 screening of Fitna, a short film exposing Islamic terrorism. However, Jacqui Smith, the Home Secretary of the United Kingdom (UK), banned Geert Wilders from the UK almost immediately thereafter, calling him an "undesirable person" because of his personal opinions and views.
